haha- it updates by itself!!!

Things that happen

well, i must say these past couple of months have been interesting, harrowing, painful, fun and unpredictable.

in a nutshell:
Passed my 2nd dan rank in kendo (which i almost missed, trying to get on a flight from Kona).
Went on a few tours to the Pacific Northwest, Vegas and Cali w/ Ooklah the Moc - Rough, but good time.
Water pipe broke (again) in front of our house.
Attempted to paint our floor in the living room. Will need to re-do after the new year.
Got a weird rash on my face for a couple of months - its gone now, thnx to my dermatologist.
Cracked a rib coughing. It finally feels better
Went to the ER with a bit of a stomach flu. Put me outta commision for a little while.

Other than than its been pretty normal

coming up: a few gigs around town, then Ooklah hits Guam for a date in December. Should be fun. Planning out a workout sched to get back in the groove of working out and feeling the good body vibe.

This year has gone at a blistering pace - i see christmas stuff all over the stores and TV. I hope we can get though this economic downturn with positivity and be ready to recieve the fruits of the upward climb back to prosperity.

Cold and wet

Its dumping rain outside and its fricken cold. I can feel it in my bones.

Played Mid Pac Institute this afternoon (Thanks to the Mid Pac people for the invite!). Its was great weather and wasn't wet this year. I'm just chillin at home before i head out to Waikiki for a gig at The Shack. I hope to grab a burger there one of these days. Its funny, lately, we (the band) have been able to sample the cuisine of the place we're playing at. Its nice. In the past we'd just make a quick exit after playing. I guess its nice to accept hospitality once in a while - when its actually extended.

Top of my list: Ige's in Aiea, truly a class act.

Horn's sounding great today. My reed seems to be broken-in well, even though i know its a crappy reed. Not expecting to last long. Time to bus' open a new 5-pack. Warming up properly is aa good thing.

Off to Kihei, Maui tomorrow. More miles for me. Give thanks.
